Welcome back! We're well into the first act now, and it's time to start wrapping up S1 plotlines.

Notable cutscenes:
-Domon VS Schwarz.
-Latooni is a girl and wears ribbons in her hair and wants to kiss all the boys.

Following on the former scene, we now begin...

Chapter 040
The Destined Battle! Domon VS The Dark Gundam

The mission starts out with a duel scene that is obviously going to be interrupted, as the only unit I have is Domon (yes, on foot), and the only enemy is Shadow Gundam. It has over 30k HP, so I just dick around for a couple turns, until the cutscenes kick in, and the real enemies show up.

Domon begins to push back Schwarz' blade for a moment, but Schwarz pulls back to block an unexpected bludgeoning attack from a Dark Army!
Schwarz: "No... Soon his training would have been complete."
Schwarz: "Domon! Leave this to me and get your Gundam!"

After this, a jillion Dark Army units appear, along with Master Gundam. However...

[Battle Animation:]
Master Asia: "Domon. Here in this very spot where I brought you up and trained you, I will now put you away forever!"
The Master Gundam, which hasn't landed yet, uses the full force of it's fall to launch a kick at Domon.
Domon: "Undefeated of the East! Don't expect me to remain your pupil forever! If you want a fight, then let's fight!"
Domon fires up the Shining Gundam's verniers and blasts out of the way of the attack as fast as he can.
But Domon isn't fast enough. There's no time for evasion, and now he's not even in a stance to block.
Suddenly Gundam Maxter comes out of no where and rams the Master Gundam with his shoulder just before it kicks Domon!

Chibodee: "Hey Neo Japan! Get it together will ya!"

New unit! Chibodee takes the field, and shortly afterwards, I get to deploy the rest of my forces for the brunt of the stage.

New units:

As the Whitedoll lands, Loran begins to spin the flail, bringing it to a blinding speed and rushes into the Dark Army, swinging it at about a dozen mechs in a circle around the Whitedoll.

Turn A Gundam is a really nice unit, and Loran is a fairly nice pilot. It needs a few more solid attacks to really be worthwhile, though...

Ryuusei: "I'm up! Twin G-cannon fire! Ora-ora!"
Ryusei targets another of the Dark Gundam heads, and shoots four canon shells at it.

Ryuusei's in the R-1 now, meaning he's actually good! Doesn't quite have all his attacks unlocked yet, though.

Chibodee jumps onto his Surfboard and flies up towards them, "CYCLONE PUNCH!" He yells as he punches a tornado towards the Dark Birdies.

Chibodee hits like a tank, but in defense is somewhere between a real and a super. It makes him a little hard to use defensively, but he has a solid spirit set that somewhat makes up for it.

Anyway, Master Gundam has 40,000 HP, and this is the time we have to take it down. However, once it reaches I think 24k, we get another cutscene:

Master Gundam is about to make a follow up attack against Domon, but suddenly signal flares fly up, and Schwarz emerges from the cave victoriously in the Shadow Gundam.
Schwarz: "Here I go!"
The Shadow Gundam makes a helicopter with its blades, flies into a waterfall, and causs a massive tidal wave to flood the enemy away, watching the result from one of the highest points of the highlands.

Schwarz's gambit destroys all land-based enemies, leaving only the Birdies or whatever. Also, Master Asia is washed away, temporarily leaving the fight. He'll be back, though - after a few more enemies are taken down, he rejoins the battle...

"You're pathetic to show ingraditude for my kindness in raising you! Today, I'll make sure to shut that insolent mouth of yours for good! Look here!"
Lightning strikes the horizon and in the distance, the highlands are ablaze, marking the location where the Dark Gundam is rising.

DARK GUNDAM yeah who didn't see that coming.
Anyway, the Dark Gundam isn't really that bad, with about 45,000 HP. Master Asia's still around, too, with about half his HP left, so I'm gonna ignore the big guy for now, in favor of taking out the minions and Asia.

After a few more turns, Kyoji shows up to taunt Domon, sending him into Super Mode. Weird metaphorical crap, then True Super Mode, which I think mechanically is the same thing, but more dramatic-looking. Maybe it gives a barrier or something? Anyway, we tear into Dark Gundam for a while, eventually taking it down with little fanfare, because the next part of this mission is the real battle.

All the mooks explode, and a flaming red gear charges at Burning Gundam, it's entire frame consumed by fire.

YEAH this was inevitable after his disappearance on the previous stage. Naturally, though, since Fei's a boss now, he's 10x more bullshit.

The Red Gear has an assholeish 66,666 HP AND really good evasion and high power output. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the first of many iterations in UG of That Boss.

Fortunately, Domon has been off on the sidelines, getting...

The data is transferred, and with a yell, Domon manages to get Burning Gundam to stand up to its full height.
Burning Gundam's verniers ignite, and it flies toward Master Gundam.
Domon: "I don't have time to play games with you!"
Domon grabs Master Gundam by the head, and then spinning around, throws it at the red Gear.

BURNING GUNDAM

Now Domon is about an A-Lister, as Burning is just a ridiculously powerful machine. Also, the cutscene attack knocks off 20% of Id's health, making this seem a tad more manageable.

After one last good-old-fashioned savage beatdown, Weltall-Id gets dropped by Loran, who gains two levels.

The red gear loses power it seems, and transforms...
Back into the Weltall, Fei's machine...
Before falling down on the ground.

Mission complete! We're rich again, and will be sinking some of that new money into that new Burning Gundam, oh yes.
